Ferruccio Zorz

Violin

Ferruccio Zorz began playing professionally at the age of sixteen. He has played with numerous orchestras including the Radio Orchestra in Trieste, the State Orchestra of Victoria, Australian Classical Players and various chamber ensembles.

Ferruccio has performed with internationally famous conductors Edward Downs, Jack Lanchbery and the legendary Tommy Tycho.

He has appeared in many films including Child Star, Raw Deal, and One Night Stand. Ferruccio has recorded for the sound tracks of Elizabeth, After The Deluge and various television commercials.

With Strings Unlimited, Ferruccio performs regularly at some of the most prestigious venues in Melbourne and overseas, and for the past ten years Ferruccio has organised musical events for the Victoria University of Technology.

Tania Zorz Casey

Violin

Tania's first musical experiences were at her father's knee, listening to him as he played his violin in styles from Bach to Bohemian. She later went on to study the violin and viola herself, and majored in the viola at the Victorian College of Arts. She also studied voice and conducting and has established a career in string teaching and choral music, which she combines with her work as a free-lance musician and conductor. Her innate musicianship makes her a much sought after violinist and violist in chamber music performances.

As a performer Tania has played in Melbourne's most prestigious venues and has performed with the Australian Pops Orchestra, the Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Melbourne Chorale. She has conducted various choirs and orchestras, and recently conducted a choir of 500 voices with an orchestra at Melbourne's Robert Blackwood Hall.

She is currently engaged as a string teacher and choral specialist at Wesley College, and is the Director of the Da Capo Singers.

Lisa Hutchison

Viola

Lisa has been performing for over 20 years. Her first professional job as violist was to play for Shirley Bassey at the age of 16.

After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, she spent 12 months studying viola at the Conservatorium in Amsterdam, in addition to touring Europe and Asia with a chamber orchestra, performing at concert halls in major cities.

Lisa has also performed in the 1990 season of Phantom of the Opera, as well as touring with world renowned artists including Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti. She has also been involved in countless recordings and live events such as 'The Footy Show'.

Lisa enjoys playing with the Australian Philharmonic, as well as performing with friends at private dinner parties.

Kieran Casey

Cello

Kieran is another product of a family steeped in music, being the son of two renown Melbourne singers. Kieran began his musical career as a young boy in the National Boy's Choir appearing with the choir on television and in Melbourne's many great halls.

He began his cello studies at the same time, and was a student of Marianne Hunt and Henry Wenig.

Upon graduating from the VCA Kieran embarked on a varied professional life as performer, teacher, examiner and Choral Director. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Melbourne for many years. Kieran's musicality and natural ability in interpreting varied styles of music makes him a valued partner in any musical situation.
